I don’t know about you, but I can always use practice on how to conjugate and use Greek verbs! I’ve rounded up a bunch of resources, some of which I have used and some of which I plan to use. There are so many great videos out there – I may need a couple of weeks to watch them all!
My current focus is on the simple and continuous past tense forms. I understand the idea, but still occasionally struggle to decide which form is correct!
I hope that you will find these resources valuable too!
Verb Conjugators
I use both of these sites frequently when I need help with verb conjugation. Sometimes I’ll write out verb conjugations when I feel I need a refresher. When I do that, I pick five verbs each day for two weeks and write the conjugation for the present, simple and continuous past, as well as simple and continuous future and the imperative forms.
- Cooljugator – A great site to check verb conjugations. It is well organized and easy to use. According to the site, Cooljugator has “around 4656” verbs. The main page has quick links to 47 frequently used verbs. For each verb, definitions and examples are provided. Conjugations include the present tense, future tense (simple), aorist past tense and past continuous tense.
- Modern Greek Verbs – According to the site “around 1,000 modern Greek verbs” that are conjugated on the site including 16 tenses of verb conjugation, with both the active and passive forms. Verbs can be found through the alphabetical list at the top of the page or the search bar at the bottom of the page.
